With traditional sales training, you normally attend a one- or two-day seminar, gather a few pearls of wisdom to justify the expense and listen to mostly motivational rhetoric that makes you feel good. You may even buy some books and tapes from the back of the room in the hopes of preserving your new-found wisdom. Once you’re back in the office, you apply some of the techniques you learned, but they only last for a brief period of time. Before long, you’re back to the original way of doing things and, predictably, you’re stuck with same results.
